CURTISS STREET
SAN JOSE, CA
This quaint bungalow in the heart of Willow Glen was itching for a makeover when we first laid eyes on it. The quarters were all very closed off and the client was looking for ways to open up the spaces, incorporate more storage and add on a much needed second guest bathroom.
We began by reconfiguring the east side of the home, which opened up the kitchen to the living area and then created a corridor of storage down the bedroom hall to the laundry room. We let in more light by adding in french glass doors and created a soft color palette for the kitchen, inspired by the stormy blue quartzite that we found.
The bathrooms both incorporated a beautiful marble remnant and splashes of colored tiles, all finishes found at Da Vinci Marble. The finished product turned out to be a sweet and cozy home, ready for its new family.
