ROCKVILLE RD

GREEN VALLEY, CA

Tucked away between the vineyards and oak knolls is the charming area of Green Valley, CA. This home was originally designed in 1970 and finished construction in 1972. It remained in its original condition when the new owner purchased it in 2022.

Office of Matter redesigned the space to take advantage of the breathtaking views and large expanses of floor to ceiling windows. A transformation of the kitchen parted ways from the wood on wood tones and added in deep hues of charcoals, blues and greens. Accents of warm limestone replaced the heavy flagstone fireplace and a streamlined shape was created in its place. The original floors were a mix of carpeting, tile and wood and were replaced with a soft, large format tile that has a texture similar to a plaster or troweled concrete. The furnishings are a mix of new, custom and vintage pieces. The overall space is now brighter and more subdued. And the views are priceless.

The kitchen features top of the line appliances from Thermador, custom cabinetry from Barker, quartzite counters from Da Vinci Marble, floor tiles from Daltile, plumbing fixtures from California Faucets and Blanco and tile from Ann Sacks.
